A NEW VISION STATEMENT FOR TRINITY
A Home in the Heart of the City, Rooted in the past, compassionately engaged in the present, and building a hopeful future.
Canon Simon and the Board have a vision for Trinity, which we pray you will also catch and embrace. Trinity is a church deeply rooted in his long and beautiful history. But, we are also a church serving a growing community in need, which we believe we are called to be actively and compassionately engaged with. In doing so, we are helping to build hopeful futures not only for those whom we serve, but also to those within our broader community. Trinity has always had a vital role to play in the heart of Barrie and we believe, now more than ever, we are called, in this time and place, to be a moral compass that affirms and values all who call this city home, a prophetic voice that provides advocacy for those who are marginalized and silenced, and a parish church that offers healing and wholeness to all.
Welcome!
Founded in 1835, Trinity Anglican Church Barrie is a welcoming church located in downtown Barrie. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment for individuals to reflect, worship, and connect with the community through our 21+ outreach initiatives. We recently celebrated our 188th birthday, and would love it if you came to worship with us and be part of our rich history.

Announcements:
1· October 5th was Trinity’s 189th birthday! Isn’t that incredible?! Rev Simon said it perfectly in his Thanksgiving letter. Take a moment to read his words again:
“This year is the 189th Anniversary of Trinity! For 189 years, faithful followers of Jesus have called this church home. For 189 years those faithful followers of Jesus have gathered for worship, provided each other with care and support, served the local community in ways appropriate to their time, and proclaimed the Kingdom of God in ways that related to their context. For their faithfulness and for the gift they have entrusted us with, we give thanks.”
Here is a brief run down of the things taking place at Trinity or St. Margaret’s in the coming weeks:
It’s wonderful that we can share learning opportunities across our Regional Ministry and starting on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Rev Andrew begins a new study on ‘discovering the beauty of Anglicanism in the sing of the &’. Please reach out to Andrew for the exact location of this weeks study (rev.andrewkuhl@gmail.com)
Starting this coming Friday, October 18th at 11 a.m., Rev Simon will be starting a new series about exploring the Christian Faith and Life called ‘Being With’. This is a course that will give you an opportunity to discover more about Christianity, or to simply take another look at it. All are welcome. If you’d like more information, please chat with Rev. Simon.
Finally, our Christmas dinner tickets go on sale this coming Tuesday October 15th. The cost is $25 for adults, $10 for children ages 6-12, and children 5 and under are free. Tickets are available until November 15th for Trinity families and then open to all after this time, based on availability. The date for our dinner is Saturday December 7th at 5:00 p.m. (and yes, it does seem crazy that we’re already talking about and planning for Christmas!)
REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY AT TRINITY: If you would like, please bring in memorabilia (medals, shadow boxes, books, etc.) about your family members who served in the military and put them on display in the Parish Hall where fellow parishioners can view them during coffee hour after church.
