About

Our Mission

Founded in 1835, Trinity Anglican Church Barrie is a welcoming church located in downtown Barrie. Our mission is to create a safe, welcoming, and dignified environment for individuals to reflect, worship, and connect with the community through our 21+ outreach initiatives.

Our Vision

“A Home in the Heart of the City, rooted in the past, compassionately engaged in the present, and building a hopeful future.”

Canon Simon and the Board have a vision for Trinity, which we pray you will also catch and embrace. Trinity is a church deeply rooted in its long and beautiful history. But, we are also a church serving a growing community in need, which we believe we are called to be actively and compassionately engaged with. In doing so, we are helping to build hopeful futures not only for those whom we serve, but also to those within our broader community. Trinity has always had a vital role to play in the heart of Barrie and we believe, now more than ever, we are called, in this time and place, to be a moral compass that affirms and values all who call this city home, a prophetic voice that provides advocacy for those who are marginalized and silenced, and a parish church that offers healing and wholeness to all.
